Casting lines and building ties: Bay Ridge Lawyers plan inaugural fishing outing
The Bay Ridge Lawyers Association is sailing into fresh waters with its debut fishing tournament, planned for Friday, Oct. 20, at 7 a.m.Â
The outing, slated to take place at Gypsea Fishing Charter at 2501 Knapp St. in Sheepshead Bay, is part of a broader initiative to diversify the types of events that the association offers its members.
Adam Kalish, who recently assumed the role of the association’s president, told the Eagle that the impetus behind the fishing tournament was to create a bonding experience that deviates from the more traditional legal education events. Although legal education remains the cornerstone of the association, Kalish stressed the importance of camaraderie among its members.Â
