In the age of technology, the practice of law has seen a seismic shift with meetings, court hearings, and workspaces being transitioned to online and virtual environments. As law firms evaluate their processes and plan for the future, adapting to digital practices that have become industry standards is paramount.

From client interactions and staff management to organization and access to matters, technology has revolutionized the daily routines of lawyers. Utilizing the right legal technologies and implementing the 11 Habits of Successful Law Firms, which will be covered in an upcoming presentation, are key to thriving in 2023 and beyond.

On Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023, from 1-2 PM, Sy Justin Sommer, Director of Litigation at LEAP Legal Software, will lead a virtual discussion on how to leverage technology to implement these 11 crucial habits.

Sommer, a Fordham Law School graduate and New York State admitted attorney, began his career at the Manhattan law firm Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP and later served as an Assistant Vice President Senior Counsel at JPMorgan Chase. In 2018, he joined LEAP, bringing his legal education and experience to the legal technology space with a mission to help attorneys increase productivity through cloud technology.

During the presentation, Sommer will share insights on how technology has reshaped the way lawyers approach their daily routines and how implementing the right legal technologies can lead to a more successful practice. The discussion will cover various aspects of law practice management, from client interactions and staff management to organizing and accessing matters.

The event will be held via Zoom and participants will earn one Professional Practice continuing legal education credit.
