Frank Carone returns to Abrams Fensterman, as counsel

Frank Carone, former Chief of Staff to Mayor Eric Adams and past president of the Brooklyn Bar Association, is returning to his former role of “Of Counsel” at Abrams Fensterman, the firm announced this month.

Carone, who spent the past year managing the complex legal and political challenges of a $104 billion budget and a workforce of 325,000 as Mayor Adams’ right hand, described his tenure as “exhilarating.” He expressed his enthusiasm about his return, and said, “While I enjoyed every minute of my public service, I’m excited to return to working back home with Abrams Fensterman.”

In addition to his role at Abrams Fensterman, Carone has also launched Oaktree Solutions, Ltd, a public affairs practice that offers a broad range of services, including litigation support, crisis management and government relations strategy.

Abrams Fensterman is led by a team of former judges, public officials, and attorneys. Carone played a pivotal role in the strategic expansion of the firm, leading the growth of its Brooklyn office since 2011 and positioning it as one of the region’s top law firms.

A Brooklyn native, Carone has an impressive career trajectory that encompasses successes in the business world, the legal profession, and public service. He’s a renowned expert in business negotiating strategy, as acknowledged by Forbes. His legal practice encompasses a wide array of civil and criminal matters, and he has been recognized repeatedly for his government relations expertise.

Carone’s dedication to public service is evident in his roles as Board Member and Audit Chair of several institutions, including Hanover Community Bank, Ridgewood Bushwick Senior Citizens Council, and the Catholic Foundation of Brooklyn and Queens. Furthermore, Carone’s leadership was instrumental during his terms on the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission.

Carone is a cum laude graduate of St. John’s University and Brooklyn Law School. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, including repeated recognition by City & State New York Magazine and the title of Super Lawyer in Government Relations.
