Harvey Weinstein conviction appeal to be heard by highest NY court
Editor’s Note: As part of a class action lawsuit, Attorney General Letitia James helped secure in 2020 nearly $19 million for the women who experienced sexual misconduct and workplace harassment by convicted rapist and former Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein.
New York’s highest court has agreed to hear an appeal from Harvey Weinstein over his 2020 rape conviction.
A spokesman for the Court of Appeals said Wednesday that oral arguments would likely be held sometime next year, after the decision to hear the case was granted Aug. 19.
