BRAZIL — Protest: Indigenous protesters set fire to a mock coffin representing the death of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and carried a sign that reads in Portuguese “Stop the genocide!” outside Planalto presidential palace in Brasilia, on Friday. Indigenous groups demanded the Supreme Court protect their land rights and reserves, asking the justices to uphold their territorial rights in a landmark case that could open their lands to outside development by commercial interests.
