LOUISIANA — Comforted: Michelle Pellerin, Trayford Pellerin’s mother at left, was comforted by family and friends during a news conference at Lafayette Parish Courthouse on Tuesday, in Lafayette. Michelle Pellerin said her son, who was fatally shot by Louisiana police, was intelligent, shy, and had sought therapy for social anxiety. Her lawyers say they plan to sue over the death of Trayford, who police said had a knife and was trying to enter a convenience store.
