Teen and man found dead on NYCHA rooftops
Police are investigating the deaths of a Bedford-Stuyvesant teen and a 59-year-old man whose bodies were found in two separate NYCHA developments.
On Tuesday evening at the Marlboro Houses in Gravesend, police responded to a burglary on the seventh floor of the Avenue V building. When the officers investigated, they realized no burglary had actually taken place. Instead, they found the body of a 59-year-old man, who possibly fell from the roof, police said.
The unidentified man — whose name was not released pending family notification — was taken to Coney Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The city’s medical examiner will determine the cause of death as the police continue their investigation.
