LISTEN: Will the Watchtower sign be replaced with the word ‘Brooklyn!’? November 29 | Paul Frangipane
Old Brooklyn is dead or dying. My favorite less expensive restaurants have closed. Whether its Zaytoons, Hope and Anchor Downtown Atlantic or the hardware store on Smith street and others. They are gone with the wind. Its not just rising rents. That Generation that owned and put their kids through school with these businesses are retiring and the kids don’t want to run them.
