Bay Ridge Lawyers Association meeting focuses on “quiet” titles

The Bay Ridge Lawyers Association had one of its own members lecture during its recent continuing legal education meeting that was held at Mama Rao’s in Dyker Heights on Wednesday.
Longtime member Charles E. Boulbol discussed the topic of “Quiet Titles” during the meeting. A quiet title is lawsuit brought in order to establish a party’s title to a real property. It is filed against anyone and everyone and challenges any claims to the title.
Attendance of the lecture was worth one CLE credit in ethics and professionalism.
Members of the BRLA also recently took part in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk on Saturday, Oct. 13. The group has regularly participated in the walk thanks to past president Lisa Becker.
The walk is held at the College of Staten Island, and last year BRLA members helped to raise nearly $3,300 and received an award for raising the second-largest amount for the cause.
