BANGLADESH – Child Sleeps in Basket: A Rohingya child sleeps inside a basket in which he was carried as a group of Rohingya fled Myanmar into Bangladesh, near Palong Khali, Bangladesh, Wednesday. In a scene that’s played out over and over again, at least 2,000 exhausted and starving Rohingya crossed the swollen Naf river on Wednesday and waited along the Bangladesh border for permission to cross, fleeing persecution in Myanmar. 

NEW YORK – Manhattan Attacker: A photo of Sayfullo Saipov is displayed at a news conference at One Police Plaza Wednesday, in New York. Saipov is accused of driving a truck on a bike path that killed several and injured others Tuesday near One World Trade Center.

HAITI – Voodoo Festival: A man invokes a “Gede” spirit during Haiti’s annual Voodoo festival Fete Gede, at the National Cemetery in Port-au-Prince, Wednesday. Revelers stream into cemeteries across the country, in a two-day celebration, to honor Baron Samedi, the guardian of the dead and ruler of the graveyard, and the rest of the Gede spirits which represent death and fertility. 

HUNGARY – All Saints Day: Candles and flowers are placed at graves during All Saints Day in Felsotarkany Cemetery, some 150 kms northeast of Budapest, Hungary, Wednesday. All Saints Day is a public holiday in Hungary and many visit cemeteries to light candles and lay floral wreaths in remembrance of the dead.
