In fall of 2018, construction will begin on the 3.2 acre Pier 2 uplands in Brooklyn Bridge Park — the current site of the popular Pop-Up Pool.

The parkland that will replace the pool will feature a bowl-shaped grassy swath, a water play area and meandering paths.

For those curious about the new parkland, Eric Landau, president of Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation, will present the section’s proposed design and answer questions at Community Board 2’s Parks and Recreation subcommittee meeting on Monday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, First Floor Dining Room, 121 DeKalb Ave. at St. Felix Street in Fort Greene.
