KASHMIR — Village Buries Rebel: A Kashmiri village woman throws candies on the body of Kashmiri rebel Irfan Ahmed, who was killed in a gun battle with Indian government forces, during his funeral in Haf-Shirmal, Indian-controlled Kashmir, on Tuesday. Four rebels and an army soldier were killed in three gun battles, officials said.

CALIFORNIA — Fighting Wildfires: Napa County firefighter Jason Sheumann sprays water on a home as he battles a wildfire on Monday in Napa. Wildfires whipped by powerful winds swept through Northern California sending residents on a headlong flight to safety through smoke and flames as homes burned.

ISRAEL — Christians Support Israel: Chinese Evangelical Christians take part in the annual support march for Israel during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot in Jerusalem on Tuesday. Thousands of Evangelical Christians from around the world took part in the event that was organized by the International Christian Embassy and the Jerusalem municipality.

INDIA – Selling Banned Fireworks: An Indian shopkeeper calls his worker as he sells fire crackers in New Delhi, India, Monday. India’s Supreme Court has banned the sale of fireworks in New Delhi and nearby towns, 10 days before the Hindu festival of Diwali, in a move to curb the capital’s deadly air pollution.

AUSTRALIA – Solar Car: The Stanford Solar Car Project car from the U.S. competes during the first day of the 2017 World Solar Challenge near Darwin, Australia on Sunday. 42 Solar cars from 21 different countries left Darwin today for a 3,000 km race to Adelaide.
