A man was ambushed while walking home on a Bay Ridge street last week, according to cops.

Authorities say that a 37-year-old man was attacked and nearly robbed while walking home on 86th Street between Third and Fourth Avenues on Thursday, March 2 at around 4:50 a.m.

According to police, the man was dropped off by a taxi. Shortly after, two men approached him, one on each side, at which time one of the perps put his hand in the victim’s pockets. The victim then allegedly pushed the perp while defending himself, and the second perp hit him in the face with an unknown instrument, causing him to fall on the floor.
