A Dyker Heights woman’s apartment on 68th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues was broken into late last month, with an unknown burglar getting away with nearly $14,000 worth of money and jewelry.

According to police, the woman left her residence for dinner on Friday, February 24 between 8 and 9:30 p.m., leaving the windows open. When she returned, she saw the apartment had been ransacked and nearly $10,000 worth of jewelry had been stolen.
