East Flatbush man indicted for dismembering girlfriend, storing head in his freezer
An East Flatbush man was arraigned on Monday, February 27 on an indictment charging him with the brutal murder and dismemberment of his girlfriend, whose remains were found in the man’s Erasmus Street apartment, as well as at a waste station in the Bronx, late last month.
The defendant – 40-year-old Somorie Moses – was arraigned on one count of second-degree murder and one count of concealment of a human corpse, and is currently being held without bail.
According to the investigation, parts of 32-year-old Leondra Foster’s dismembered remains were discovered at a Halleck Street waste station in the Bronx on January 17. The discovery led police detectives to the defendant’s Brooklyn residence, which he shared with Foster, on January 20, at which time he tried to flee as they attempted to arrest him. Moses was unsuccessful, and was eventually taken in by cops.
