Honoring the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., in preparation of the day that bears his name, the youngsters at District 20 Pre K Center Z075 gathered, marched and twirled at their Pre-K for All Center (21 Bay 11th Street) bright and early on Thursday, January 12.

Celebrating the dream of the late civil rights activist, the preschoolers marched in solidarity and delivered a message of peace for all.

“Our Pre-K students were so excited for their March of Peace in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr,” said Lauren Napolitano, assistant principal at the Pre-K for All Center. “Dr. King said many things, among them, ‘Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education.’ Here at our Pre-K center, we pride ourselves on character building and teaching the children, our future leaders, how to work together and respect one another. In that spirit, when we made our plans to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy, our focus was to plant seeds to teach our children acceptance and cultural harmony.”
