Yellow signage taped to street poles warned drivers that their cars needed to be moved by 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19 for today’s filming. Any cars not moved in time would be towed to the nearest legal spot, the sign read.

“The Deuce” — slated to premiere in 2017 — spotlights the rise of the porn industry in Midtown Manhattan from the early 1970s through the mid-’80s, according to deadline.com. Franco (who, at times, also serves as the show’s director) will play two roles –twin brothers who became became mob fronts in Times Square’s lucrative sex industry, while Gyllenhaal will play the role of a prostitute.
