Footage released of suspect in L&B co-owner’s death
Surveillance footage of a man, wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of L&B Spumoni Gardens co-owner Louis Barbati, has been released by the NYPD.
The footage shows a potential suspect – dressed in a black hoodie, dark colored shorts and black sneakers – walking within the vicinity of Barbati’s 76th Street and 12th Avenue home shortly before the fatal shooting which took place just past 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 30.
According to police, the 61-year-old father of two sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was found outside of the house while his wife and sons were inside. EMS responded and pronounced Barbati dead at the scene.
