State Sen. Kevin Parker hosted his 9th Annual Prom Dress Giveaway this past Saturday at the Samuel J. Tilden HS Campus in Brooklyn. In partnership with Macys, Lydia’s Closet and Delta Rho Omega, Parker provided free prom dresses to more than 300 graduating high school students. During the event, students enjoyed live make-up tutorials, hair styling consultations, raffles and giveaways from the radio station Hot 97.

“For most families, senior year can be a very exciting but expensive time,” Parker noted. “It is important that I do my part to ensure that no student within my district and surrounding areas is unable to attend their prom due to financial restraints,” he added.
