According to a police source, two people were arrested during the car stop, when the bulk of the illegal drugs (45 pounds) was seized. An additional person was arrested, and an additional 10 pounds of marijuana seized after a search warrant was obtained.

According to police, the car stop occurred after officers noticed two men park near each other, get out of their cars and exchange suitcases. The cops on the scene detected the odor of marijuana, and questioned the drivers, one of whom admitted to having marijuana in the suitcases, as well as to having more marijuana in an apartment on West 28th Street, for which the search warrant was obtained.

The cocaine was found in the car’s center console. An additional 11 pounds of marijuana was found in the apartment, as well as two mason jars filled with marijuana, two scales and a notebook listing financial transactions.

The two suspects arrested during the car stop were Adham Deeb, 31, and Majdi Mansoor, 34, both of Fourth Avenue and 90th Street in Bay Ridge. Deeb was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Mansoor was charged with criminal possession of marijuana.
