Bushwick child rape suspect collared in Minnesota: NYPD

Halfway across the country, law enforcement sources captured this week a Bushwick man wanted for allegedly raping his girlfriend’s 10-year-old sister last October, police reported.

Edwin (a.k.a. Patricio) Caizaguano, 24, was apprehended Monday in St. Paul, Minnesota by members of the NYPD Fugitive Apprehension Team, police announced late on Wednesday afternoon.

He will soon be extradited back to Brooklyn to face charges in the sexual assault, which took place at 6 p.m. on October 19, 2015 inside the 10-year-old girl’s Moffat Street residence.

As previously reported, Caizaguano allegedly sexually assaulted the child, who was identified by police as his girlfriend’s sister, then fled the scene. The girl was brought to a local hospital for injuries she sustained in the assault and is recovering.
