The Kings County Nathan R. Sobel American Inn of Court toasted to Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the New Year and even Festivus during its annual holiday party at Marco Polo Ristorante in Carroll Gardens on Monday.

“Thank you, everybody, for coming to our holiday gala,” said the Inn’s president, Justice Arthur M. Schack. “I want to wish, on behalf of the Inns, as the president, happy Hanukkah, even though it passed already, merry Christmas, happy Kwanzaa, happy New Year, happy Festivus for the rest of us — and anything else that suits your fancy.

“I want to thank you because we’re having a very good year so far,” Schack continued. “When we come back in January, I want us to keep up the good work. It’s very nice this evening that we could all get together, socialize and have a good time. It’s always great to be among friends, and as far as I’m concerned, everybody here is a friend.”

More than 50 people packed the upstairs room at the restaurant for an Italian dinner to celebrate and blow off steam from a busy fall season. There were also a few cheers for Justice Ellen Spodek, whose birthday was on Tuesday.

“Tomorrow is a very special day, and I don’t mean that it’s the Ides of December, but tomorrow is the 29th anniversary of her 29th birthday for Ellen Spodek,” Schack joked.

The Inn of Court is finished for the year and will meet again on Jan. 26 at the Brooklyn Bar Association on Remsen Street.
