Between Friday, December 4 and Sunday, December 6, the 62nd Precinct received reports of one felony assault, one grand larceny and two burglaries. The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst, Bay Ridge and Gravesend.

An alleged drug bust and chase left two police officers injured on Saturday, December 5 after two perps, attempting to flee a scene in which officers saw them engaged in a possible drug deal, rammed into an unmarked police car.

According to cops, a male perp, sitting in a car near Bay and Shore Parkways at around 6:45 p.m., was allegedly handing an undisclosed amount of heroin to a 24-year-old Hispanic woman.

Once officers attempted to apprehend the pair, the male perp allegedly drove his 2014 Infiniti into the the unmarked police car multiple times, leaving the two officers inside with physical injuries.

Cops then saw the pair drive the Infiniti through a park—with heavy pedestrian traffic—in an attempt to flee the scene. Both perps eventually left the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot from 86th and Bay 29th Streets. The female perp was apprehended by police and the alleged heroin was recovered from the car.

An unknown perp entered an apartment near Bay 10th Street and Bath Avenue on Friday, December 4 at around 6:30 p.m., according to cops, and caused damage to a door, removed the residence’s house keys and stole a car from the driveway. Cops allege that the man entered through the back door. There were no cameras at the scene but a nearby building was equipped with one.

A 27-year-old Asian man told police that on Friday, December 4 at around 7:00 a.m., he returned to his locker, inside of a gym near 20th Avenue and 86th Street, to find that someone had stolen various electronics from inside his bag.

On Sunday, December 6 at around 8:15 p.m., an unknown perp entered a 25-year-old Asian man’s home—located near 80th Street and 19th Avenue—and ransacked the place while the man was in the shower. According to cops, the perp left with $900 and a Coach purse.
