Cops say that an emotionally disturbed man had specialized police units trying for hours to get him safely out of a Bensonhurst building, where he had perched himself on a window ledge,  on Sunday, November 29.

According to police, the man, who had barricaded himself inside of a building at 8484 Bay Parkway, was refusing to open the door to police at around 1:26 p.m.

At around 5:45 p.m., police were able to gain entry and take the man into custody without incident.

According to reports, the man was out on the windowsill for close to four hours and cops had set up a net to surround him.
