Crown Heights creep sentenced to life in prison for serial rapes
A 26-year-old serial rapist from Brooklyn has been sentenced to 100 years to life in prison for committing four rapes within a one-week period, including one that involved a 15-year-old girl, announced District Attorney Ken Thompson on Monday, November 23.
According to trial testimony, Dexter Bell of Crown Heights was responsible for four rapes in April of 2013, starting with a 25-year-old woman who said that, on April 4, Bell pulled her into an alley near Albany Avenue and Fenimore Street after she exited a B12 bus.
Just four days later, Bell approached a 21-year-old victim in the vicinity of Schenectady Avenue and Montgomery Street, where he led the victim into an alleyway and raped her.
