The 69th Street Pier in Bay Ridge will be the site of a carnival on Saturday designed to give New Yorkers the chance to enjoy the spectacular waterfront while the weather is still warm.

Councilmember Vincent Gentile and the Waterfront Alliance are teaming up to co-host the Sailors Carnival on the Pier.

The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26 on the pier from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The activities will include miniature golf featuring maritime obstacles, arts and crafts and more, according to Gentile.

Gentile (D-Bay Ridge-Dyker Heights-Bensonhurst) said the pier, which is officially known as the American Veterans Memorial Pier, is a popular site to visit because it features stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, lower New York Harbor and the Verrazano Bridge.

“Sailors Carnival on the Pier is a wonderful opportunity for residents to come out and enjoy the pier while celebrating our beautiful waterfront,” Gentile said in a statement. “I am happy to have teamed up with the Waterfront Alliance for this event, which will hopefully re-introduce folks to our beautiful waterfront parks.”
