Man shot dead outside Coney’s Nostrand Houses

UPDATE: According to the NYPD, 17-year-old Ramon Cooper, who resides at 2957 Nostrand Avenue, was arrested and charged with second degree murder and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree (loaded firearm).
A man was shot in front of Coney Island’s Nostrand Houses l Wednesday, August 26, according to cops.
Police said that, at 10:15 p.m., units responded to a 911 call of a man shot in front of 2356 Bragg Street. Upon arrival, police observed the victim – later identified as 36-year-old Darnell Warren, a resident of the Nostrand Houses – unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the back.
Emergency Medical Services transported Warren to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
