The Rev. Msgr. John Maloney, pastor of Saint Anselm Catholic Church in Bay Ridge, has served many masses over the years. But the mass that took place on Monday, April 20 was particularly meaningful to the clergyman. The mass celebrated the 40th Anniversary of his ordination into the priesthood.

Maloney was joined at the altar by his fellow parish priests, the Rev. Msgr. Michael Phillips, Rev. Stephen Saffron and Rev. Martin Kull, as well as Deacon Thomas Davis for the mass.

Maloney was ordained in 1975. He has served as the pastor of St. Anselm Church, located at 356 82nd St., for six years. Prior to coming to St. Anselm, he served as the territorial Episcopal vicar for the Queens portion of the Brooklyn Diocese. The diocese covers both Brooklyn and Queens.
