Legitimate Sassoon children memorial fund established

After reports of several online scam or fake memorial funds set up to collect donations in memory of the Sassoon children, seven children ages five to 16 who died tragically in a Midwood house fire on March 21, Assemblymember Dov Hikind announced on Tuesday, March 24 that a legitimate “Sassoon Children Memorial Fund” has been established.
The new fund is part of the Jewish Communal Fund. People who wish to donate or learn more can visit https://private.jewishcommunalfund.org/JCFDonate/PreDonation.aspx
In addition, checks may be made payable to JCF (add “The Sassoon Children Memorial Fund” in the memo) and mailed to Jewish Communal Fund, 575 Madison Avenue, Suite 703, New York, NY 10022.
