The deaths of Eric Garner and Akai Gurley at the hands of New York Police Offices as well as the killings of Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos have brought New York to the forefront in the debate on police and public safety. On Monday, March 30 from 12:30pm-2pm, St. Francis College will host a ‘Policing in New York and America’ discussion. The talk is slated to take place in the College’s Callahan Center.

Harry Siegel is now a columnist for the New York Daily News and a member of its editorial board. He is a former senior editor for The Daily Beast, worked for The Village Voice, Politico, The New York Sun and New York Press, where he was editor-in-chief for a brief stint.
