Generally Speaking: Brooklyn’s Cathedral Club holds 115th anniversary dinner
Over 500 attendees packed the West Side Ballroom of the New York Marriott Marquis for the 115th anniversary dinner of the Cathedral Club of Brooklyn. This year’s guest of honor was Sean Crowley, a partner in the law firm of Davidoff Hutcher and Citron, and the keynoter was Congressmember Peter King, chair of the Congressional Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence.
The VIPs on the large dais received musical fanfare by a drummer and bagpipers from Xaverian High School as they were led into the massive ballroom. Monsignor Kieran Harrington, communications vicar for the Brooklyn Catholic Diocese and honorary dinner chair, gave the Invocation. NYPD Officer Tania Salters sang the National Anthem.
Remarks were delivered by Cathedral Club President Christopher Hannan, Brooklyn Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio, and the aforementioned Crowley and Congressmember King. AM radio personality Jim Kerr emceed the program and Monsignor Michael Hardiman, pastor of St. Patrick’s Church in Bay Ridge, gave the Benediction.
