Gowanus artists open studio this weekend

Court sketch artist Alba Acevedo depicts a court scene in this image, which was published earlier this year in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle. Acevedo, along with hundreds of other Gowanus-based artists, will open her studio to the public on Oct. 18 and 19 from noon to 6 p.m. Visitors create their own self-guided tours and have the chance to meet artists and discuss the work on display.
