Suspect wanted in string of armed robberies in Marine Park and Mill Basin
Cops are still looking for the suspect wanted in connection with four separate armed robberies that occurred within the confines of the 61st and 63rd Precincts last month.
The first incident took place on Saturday, September 6 around 3:45 p.m. near Gerritsen Avenue and Stuart Street. When a 67-year-old man was parking his car in his garage, the suspect – described as a black man in his mid-20s, and 6’0” to 6’2” in height with light complexion – allegedly approached the victim, pointed a firearm at the his head and demanded his property.
The suspect then removed the man’s watch, ring and cellphone and fled northbound on Gerritsen Avenue to eastbound Avenue R where he jumped into a white Acura TL that was waiting for him.
On Wednesday, September 10 around 10:55 a.m. on Whitman Drive, the same suspect allegedly approached a 35-year-old woman who was getting out of her car, pointed a firearm at her and demanded her watch. The suspect then allegedly fled with her watch and wallet, containing $300 and various credit cards.
On Sunday, September 14 around 11:35 p.m., in the vicinity of West First Street and Village Road South, the same suspect allegedly approached a 56-year-old man while he was coming out of his driveway and displayed a firearm while removing the victim’s wedding ring and watch. The suspect allegedly fled northbound on West First Street and got into an unknown vehicle.
