14-year-old autistic teen found after disappearing from Dyker Heights

Update (6 a.m. Saturday, April 19): Daniel Ghabra, 14, was found safe and sound inside a Rite Aid on Avenue X in Sheepshead Bay at around 2 a.m. early Saturday morning, April 19.

Police have asked us to spread the word about a 14-year-old male Asian who has autism went missing around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 18, from the vicinity of 11th Avenue and 63rd Street.

He is wearing black jeans, a green and blue checked shirt with a red collar, and is non-verbal.

His name is Daniel, and cops tell us he has done this before. He likes to go shopping.

If anyone thinks they see him, please keep an eye on him and call 9-1-1 immediately.
