Pro Bono Barrister: Kings Inn of Court barristers explore stop & frisk

While the NYPD and the legal profession may be in a quandary over Mayor de Blasio’s “Stop & Frisk” modifications, many in the Kings court community–especially the Nathan Sobel Inns of Court Chapter, led by President Justice Ellen Spodek — have been probing its potential for dramatic shifts in criminal law. Earlier this week, the Kings Inn, with a panel led by Appellate Division Justice Sylvia Hinds Radix, Justice Joanne Quinones and Barrister Larry DiGiovanna, offered some useful scenarios dealing with stop & frisk that were well-thought-out and instructive, and often quite humorous.
