Diana Reyna appointed as Deputy Brooklyn Borough President
Diana Reyna, long-time councilmember representing her native Williamsburg, Bushwick and Ridgewood, has been appointed Deputy Borough President by newly installed Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.
Explaining his choice, Adams stated that “Diana Reyna has spent her entire career focused in the issues that matter the most to everyday New Yorkers [such as] affordable housing [where] she helped build and maintain thousands of units for low- and middle-income families.
“She also fought tirelessly for better public schools and safer streets. And as Small Business chair in the City Council, she helped to promote and protect the backbone of Brooklyn’s economy,” said Adams. “For these reasons and more, I’m proud to have Diana Reyna on our team as we enter Borough Hall.”
