Trio wanted for allegedly robbing straphanger at Jay Street F station

Three women are wanted by police for allegedly robbing and assaulting a straphanger on a southbound F train at the Jay Street-Borough Hall station on Monday, July 29.

During 6 p.m. rush hour, the first suspect allegedly grabbed the cell phone from the victim’s hand while the other two suspects allegedly “physically prevented her from retrieving it,” said police. No injuries were reported.

Surveillance video caught images of the three suspects and anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
