Police seek two men in separate attempted kidnapping incidents
Two young women in their 20s managed to escape the clutches of men who tried to kidnap them on Brooklyn streets at opposite ends of the borough, in what the NYPD says are not considered to be connected “at this time.”
At around 2 a.m. on Monday, July 22, at the corner of Bergen Avenue and Avenue K, a Hispanic male driving a dark-colored minivan pulled up next to a 23-year-old woman, pointed a gun at her, and demanded that she get into the car. Instead, the woman ran and the suspect fled in his car.
The suspect, seen in the sketch above, is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, with a thin build.
