Two men sought after murder in East Flatbush

A 25-year-old East Flatbush man was shot and killed in broad daylight near the corner of East 53rd Street and Clarkson Avenue on Sunday, May 26, and now police have released surveillance images of the two men suspected of killing him.

Shawn Best was shot outside his apartment building at 126 East 53rd Street at around 3:41 p.m. on Sunday, said police, who responded to the scene following a 9-1-1 call that also brought EMS workers. Best was taken to nearby Kings County Hospital, where he later died.

Nearby surveillance video shows Suspect #2, wearing a black tee shirt and grey pants, handing a gun to Suspect #1, wearing a red & white striped shirt. Off camera, suspect #1 the shoots the victim.
