That waiter is really a congressman!
U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm (R-Bay Ridge-Staten Island) will go “on the job” tonight, Sept. 25, at Gino’s Restaurant, 7414 Fifth Ave., where he will roll up his sleeves and join the famed eatery’s wait staff team, serving as maître’d, serving food, and maybe even busing a few tables.
Grimm regularly goes “on the job” with his constituents and in the past has donned the uniforms of U.P.S. delivery man, United States Postal Service mail carrier, and firefighter, according to his spokeswoman Carol Danko. Grimm even served as a principal for a day at a Staten Island school, Danko said.
Grimm will be taking your dinner orders starting at 5 p.m. He will be on the job until 8 p.m.
Feel free to tip, although there’s no word on whether Grimm will keep the money.
