All Brooklyn freelancers and entrepreneurs who have concerns about managing their finances are encouraged to attend two upcoming workshops offered by the Brooklyn Public Library.

At these workshops participants will learn smart ways of doing business — from establishing good credit to online banking and planning for retirement —  all of which can save them money:

• “Setting Up Systems for Taxes and Retirement” will take place on Thursday, Sept.20, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Central Library, 10 Grand Army Plaza, in the Third Floor Trustees Room.

• “Making Technology Work for You: Online and Business Banking” will take place on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the BPL’s Business and Career Library, 280 Cadman Plaza West in Downtown Brooklyn.

To register, please call (718) 623-7000 (select option 4), or visit www.brooklynpubliclibrary.org.

These workshops were made possible by a grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation through Smart Investing@your library, a partnership with the American Library Association.
