Port Authority Discount Plan Takes Effect Immediately

The Port Authority discount plan on local bridges is taking effect immediately, ahead of its scheduled August 13 start date, announced Assemblymember Nicole Malliotakis, whose district includes Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, and Staten Island.

Under the plan, the toll for enrolled E-Z Pass users with non-commercial plates shall be $4.75 per trip after three trips are completed within a calendar month at the Goethals Bridge, Outerbridge Crossing and/or the Bayonne Bridge. Since August is already underway, all enrolled drivers will pay the discounted rate regardless of the amount of trips they take.

Malliotakis encourages” anyone enrolled in the Port Authority’s program to take advantage of these decreased rates and urge anyone who has yet to register for the discount plan to sign up as soon as possible.”

To add the discount plan to an existing E-ZPass account in New York, customers should visit the E-ZPass New York web site at https://www.e-zpassny.com, or call 1-800-333-8655. To sign up for E-ZPass and enroll in the PASI plan, customers can fill out an application online using plan code PASI, request an application by mail, or call 1-855-644-5116. Drivers can also visit www.SIBplan.com to learn more about the program.
