The New York Aquarium is Accepting Applications for Summer Docents
The Wildlife Conservation Societys New York Aquarium is looking for aquatic animal lovers to join its team of dedicated docents.
The aquariums docent program is made possible in part through partnership with National Grid as part of the companys community commitment, efforts to encourage environmental stewardship and support of education programs.
The docent program is operated by the aquariums Education Department. Docents are an important part of the aquariums visitor experience. They help interpret exhibits and teach schoolchildren and other visitors about animals. Docents are also involved with helping aquarium instructors with a variety of exciting wildlife-themed activities.
