Woman on Mobility Scooter Struck and Killed on Eastern Parkway

Yesterday around 12:25 a.m., police responding to a call at Eastern Parkway and Utica Avenue found a 56-year-old woman with severe body trauma who had been struck by a car. The woman was taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was pronounced DOA. Cops later found that she was trying to cross Eastern Parkway with a mobility scooter when she was struck by a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria that was driven by a 65-year-old man. There were no arrests, but the incident is still being investigated.
