Nets Swag Now On Sale

For the first time in 55 years, Brooklynites were able to buy major league hometown swag today.

The Brooklyn Nets formally unveiled the team’s logo this morning, and merchandise — so much merchandise! — immediately went on sale.

The logo was displayed at a media promotion at the Modell’s Sporting Goods Store across Flatbush Avenue from the Nets’ new Barclays Center home.

Even before the official 10 a.m. event, Twitter was abuzz with images ripped from displays at Modell’s stores. Some images also appeared on the Nets’ website.

Lines formed outside the Flatbush Avenue store and elsewhere, with fans eager to be among the first to shell out their Benjamins for Nets paraphernalia.
