NYPD: Elderly man guns down wife in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police say a 75-year-old man shot and killed his 71-year-old wife at their home in Brooklyn.

Police say the victim, Angela Devito, was shot multiple times in the torso. She was pronounced dead at the scene on Neptune Avenue in the Sea Gate section of the borough at about 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say the husband, Angelo Devito, was arrested without incident at the scene on charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.

Police did not say what led to the shooting.
