According to the Daily News, Brooklyn officials are trying to save the 103-year-old former 73rd Precinct stationhouse in Brownsville, which has deteriorated since the nonprofit Family Services Network bought the site eight years ago. A representative of the HIV/AIDS-related organization says that it can’t afford the $3.8 million needed to renovate the building. Photos of the building show it marred by broken windows and graffiti, with litter on the sidewalk.
