Mom of Tots Found on Brooklyn Street Corner Faces Judge

BROOKLYN (AP) — A woman accused of abandoning her two little girls along a Brooklyn street has been arraigned on child endangerment charges.
Dalisha Adams appeared in court Tuesday.
Her attorney, Robert Riether, says Adams is innocent of the charges. He said he expects her to be freed on bail.
She was arrested late Sunday after she surrendered at a police station.
Authorities say the children, ages 2 and 3, were found near their grandmother’s building on Sunday afternoon.
The girls had no identification, but were bundled up for the weather and were clutching several clean diapers. They knew their mother’s first name but could not say where they lived.
Two good Samaritans stayed with the girls until police arrived, then they were checked over at a hospital.
