ATTICA, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities have charged a Brooklyn man with trying to smuggle heroin into an upstate prison.

State police say 27-year-old Khalid Amir Thurmond of Brooklyn was arrested at Attica Correctional Facility in western New York.
