Community Board 10 Chair Joanne Seminara, who won re-election to her post in December, was officially sworn into office by New York State Supreme Court Justice Matthew D’Emic at the start of the board meeting Monday night. D’Emic and Seminara are old friends. “I worked in her father’s law firm many years ago,” D’Emic told the Bay Ridge Eagle. Seminara’s father, Joseph Seminara, is a prominent attorney in Bay Ridge. Seminara herself is also a lawyer. After administering the oath, D’Emic joked, “I didn’t mess up one word!”
